Welcome to the Wake Tech/Wachovia Wells Fargo Center for Entrepreneurship — a centralized resource uniting all aspects of the development and delivery of education, support, and resources for present and future small businesses and entrepreneurs in the Wake County area. The purpose of the Center is to make a significant contribution to economic and workforce growth in the area served by increasing the number and success rate of new and existing small businesses and entrepreneurs.
Center programs include:
- Entrepreneur Speaker Series: A new forum in which successful local entrepreneurs share personal stories about their business ventures
- Planning the Entrepreneurial Venture: A Wake Tech continuing education course developed by the Kauffman Foundation which gives step-by-step instructions on developing a business plan for starting and managing a small business
- Entrepreneurship Certificate: A four-course, 12-hour curriculum that teaches students to recognize business opportunities and develop a plan for starting, financing, and operating a small business.
- Seminars and Counseling from Wake Tech’s Small Business Center
- E-Hive Colony of Entrepreneurs: A virtual community where program participants can network with and receive support from industry mentors and Wake Tech advisors.
- Web links and other Resources about starting and running a small business.
- Entrepreneur Events co-managed or sponsored by the Center.
