Phrases with “MAKE”

In English, many of the same verbs are used in different expressions or phrases.  This can be confusing for English learners!

MAKE is an example of one of these commonly used verbs.

Example:  ”I can’t make up my mind!”
Definition: “I can’t decide!”

MAKE is also sometimes confused with the verb DO.  There are specific uses for both MAKE and DO.

Example: When I do my homework, I often make a lot of mistakes!
