Great news!  Now, you can do your library research from the palm of your hand — using your iPhone or iPod Touch.

EBSCO now offers mobile access to its databases!  You can use the mobile site or download the iPhone or iPod Touch app.  Droid and Blackberry apps are coming soon.  To use the mobile access versions, open your browser and use one of these URLs: http://m.ebscohost.com/ or http://search.ebscohost.mobi/.

To download the iPhone/iPod Touch application:

1) Go to Academic Search Premier from the library home page at http://library.waketech.edu/databases.html.  Scroll to the bottom of the page to where you see the phrase, “New: EBSCOhost iPhone/iPod Touch Application.”  Click on this link and then fill in your email address.  *Be sure to use an email address that you can access using your iPhone/iPod Touch!*

2) Open the email on your iPhone/iPod Touch, click the link to download the app, then click the second link to activate EBSCO on your iPhone/iPod Touch.

Searching Tips:

*Search just like in a regular browser – click on “Settings” to select specific databases or limit your search to full text and peer-reviewed or to narrow your search down by publication date.

*No need to retype your search — just click the “Recent” button to find previous searches.

*Once you find an article, you can read the citation and the abstract, right on your screen.  You also have the option to save, open, or email the (PDF) article.
