Online Courses Beginning in March (Courses will be repeated during the summer)

Fundamentals of Accessibility (register for online course)
Start Date: Extended to Monday, 3/12 – Registration for this course is still open!
The Fundamentals of Accessibility course is a five week online course beginning March 12, 2012. This course explores the fundamental components of accessibility required in an online course. Topics include an overview of accessibility, creating accessible documents, images, and videos. In addition, participants will receive resources on how to evaluate an online course for accessibility. Course is limited to 50 participants.

Moodle 2 for Beginners (register for online course)
Start Date: March 21, 2012
The Moodle 2 for Beginners online course is a five week course beginning March 21, 2012. This course will provide participants with the fundamental skills needed to deliver an online course in Moodle 2. Course is limited to 50 particpants.

This webinar looks at the tools and activities in SoftChalk that are accessible to all students. Participants will explore the process of how to create an accessible learning activity using SoftChalk.

Create accessible videos for your online course by using the captioning tools in Camtasia 7. This webinar will demonstrate how to create and  caption a video using Camtasia 7.

Copyright and Fair Use in the Online Course (register for webinar)

Confused about copyright issues and fair use? This webinar will provide a crash-course in copyrights and fair use. Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions about copyright concerns and issues.

Want to make your course more engaging? Learn how to use Wimba Pronto to increase interaction, engagement, and knowledge retention in online courses. This webinar will offer tips and tricks on using the tools in Wimba Pronto, such as instant messaging and video conferencing, to create a virtual classroom.
