Sometimes you might go away on vacation. Let’s say
you’re going over to your mom’s place, and you want to be able to get your
email while you’re gone, and you don’t want to go through the process of
Popping3 your mail over to her account. You can simply have your mail
forwarded so that it’s temporarily sent to say her email account, and you
can get to your mail and send responses as you need to. So I’m going show you
next is how to temporarily forward your mail from your hotmail@edu account to a third party account, such as a friend or
relative.

To do this, go to your options menu. Select more options,
|
Windows Live screen – click options. Click more
options
|
|
and then in the options page look for the option forward mail to another email account,
and click that option.
|
Windows Live Screen – click forward mail to another email account
|
|
By default the option is turned off. Turn the option on
by clicking forward your email to
another email address and then entering the email address to which you
want to send your mail. If you want you can keep your original email at the
hotmail@edu account so you can get back to it when you return from
vacation. If you choose not to select the option, deselect it. Quick save,
|
Windows Live Screen – click forward your email to another email address, type
address, click save
|
|
and that’s all you need to do. Now your email is
forwarded to the new account.
