Your Wake Tech ID is a 7-digit
number given to all students. Your Key Account Login is your first initial,
middle initial, and last name (example: John A. Doe = jadoe). To
retrieve your Wake Tech ID and Key Account Login, go to my.waketech.edu.
Under the login area, click the link What's my login? Enter the
information requested, and you'll receive your Wake Tech ID and Key Account
Login.
I get a student verification
error when I try to activate my account.
If you're getting a student
verification error, make sure you enter your information completely and
accurately. If there are any inaccuracies, the system will not recognize your
account. One of the most common errors is pressing the spacebar when entering
your information. Pressing the spacebar and adding that extra space will cause
problems with the activation process. Press the TAB key instead after
entering your information to go to the next field.
How long
do I have to wait to register for classes after activating my account?
Once you have successfully
activated your Key Account, you can log into WebAdviso and register
immediately.
NOTE: Please make sure of your designated registration date before trying to register. You will also need to contact your advisor in case of any academic holds.
I have forgotten my password. How do I reset my password?
If you are logged into My Wake Tech (http://my.waketech.edu),
you can click the Change Password button in the log out box, or click Change My
Password under the top menu item Support.
If you're logged out of My Wake Tech (http://my.waketech.edu), you can click the What's my password? link located underneath the Password field in the log-in box.
On
the following page, click the Procede to Password Change button.You will be taken to the Password Reset and Account Activation page. Before resetting your password, you will need to enter your Key Account Login, Birthday (MM/DD/YYYY format), First and Last Name, and your
Wake Tech ID Number. On the next page, you will be prompted to answer one of your security questions. Before you can reset your password, you must answer your security question correctly.
NOTE: The answer to your security question is case-sensitive.
NOTE: If you have not selected your security questions, you will need to select and provide answers for them. For more information and assistance on how to do this, see the article How To: Set My Security Questions and Answers.
How do I reset my password if I'm on WebAdvisor? If you're on WebAdvisor, click the Reset My Password link located on the bottom right-hand side of the page. This will take you to the Password Reset and Account Activation page.
